The Boulder Arts Commission, established in 1979 to increase awareness and support for the arts, consists of five members appointed by City Council, each to a five-year term. The BAC’s mission is to “assert a leadership role in enriching the lives of the people of Boulder through supporting arts experiences of the highest quality. The arts are a human experience and need to be celebrated as a great community and individual resource.”
