Admission is free and all are welcome.

OpenArts is proud of our accomplishments in 2011. In February we held our first fundraising pARTy which proved to be a huge success. We held our first competition for the artwork to be used on the Open Studios commemorative poster. We partnered with Downtown Boulder, Inc. to present the first annual Open Arts Fest on the Pearl Street Mall, drawing over 80,000 patrons. We hosted an exhibit in the Boulder Public Library’s Canyon Gallery featuring local artists participating the Open Arts Fest. Clementine Studio continues to be hailed as Boulder’s premiere art school for children with innovative projects, art shows and structured art play. We further developed our teen and adult art education program at Clementine Studio offering classes in encaustic painting, life drawing, watercolor, color theory, jewelry making, acrylic painting, plein air painting, photography and more. The EdLinks program expanded to serve far more students than ever before thanks in large part to a grant received from YOAB. The EdLinks program invites professional artists into BVSD schools to work in conjunction with the art teachers to provide students with the rare opportunity of learning art techniques and more from some of Boulder’s finest artists. The Open Studios Fall Artist Tour continues to be the “not to be missed” visual art event of the year. And we will join with hundreds of other nonprofit organizations around the state to help raise the level of philanthropy during Colorado Gives Day, this December 6th.

Illuminated Manuscript is the interweaving of text and imagery presented in sentences drawn from Julie’s personal journal.

Julie’s show is open for viewing at Rembrandt Yard through November 12. Please note, Rembrandt Yard is an events center and the gallery is occassionally closed for private events. Please call 303.444.1862 or 303.301.2972 if you would like to make certain the gallery is open during a specific time.

Open Studios Fall Artist Tour is now in its 17th year. Open Studios takes place Saturdays and Sundays, on October 1 & 2 and October 8 & 9, 2011, from 12:00 Noon to 6:00PM each day.

A preview exhibition, featuring one piece from each participating artist, will take place at Boulder Public Library from September 6 through October 9, 2011. The opening reception will be at Boulder Public Library, 9th & Canyon Blvd, Boulder, Colorado, on Friday, September 30, 2011, from 6PM-8PM.

There you may ask questions, see a demonstration, learn about their artistic process and medium, and of course, buy locally produced artwork direct from the artist!
